Itinerary:

Christchurch – We start by leaving Ōtautahi Christchurch, also known as New Zealand's Garden City. As we head north, our knowledgeable guide will point out some of the city's highlights.

Weka Pass - On our way, we will drive through Weka Pass, home to impressive limestone cliffs. The area is home to rare early Māori rock art and carving (which we unfortunately do not have time to visit on tour). However, keep your eyes peeled as we drive past the iconic Frog Rock!

Hanmer Springs: Once past the endless rolling hills, we arrive in Hanmer Springs. Rounding the corner, you will be welcomed by the village that has been compared to the Canadian Rockies with its surrounding pine trees and mountain peaks. On this tour, our guide will drop you off for your pre-booked scenic flight showcasing stunning aerial views of Hanmer Forest Park, the Tekoa Range, and surrounding alpine and high country area.

Waipara (45 minutes) - After farewelling Hanmer Springs, on our return to Ōtautahi, we will stop at Waipara; one of New Zealand's premier wine regions. After all, it wouldn't be a trip to North Canterbury without visiting one of the many vineyards! Here you will have the opportunity to taste a selection of wine from a locally owned and operated winery. If wine isn't your thing, don't worry! You can easily substitute for beer or a non-alcoholic alternative. 

Christchurch - After Waipara, we then make our way back to the Garden City. Sit back and relax after a wonderful day exploring  Te Whakatakaka O Te Ngarehu O Ahi Tamatea. With your camera roll full, this day will definitely be something to brag about!
