Itinerary

DAY 1

Christchurch – We start this trip in the Garden City- We explore the
rich history within our central city including the Bridge of Remembrance, spending
some time going through the Christchurch Botanical Gardens. We depart
Christchurch and journey to the country town – Geraldine in the heart of the
Canterbury Plains, and the foothills for the Southern Alps

Fairle Bakehouse – We stop for a bite to
eat and to stretch our legs. This bakery makes some of the best pies in New Zealand After we have refuelled for the next part of our
journey, we leave Fairlee and head towards Lake Tekapo, while along the way
we go through some pretty impressive alpine passes with amazing view. Once we
crest the hill to Tekapo the crystal clear waters are there waiting to greet
you.

Lake Tekapo – We arrive in this beautiful town – famous for its
crystal-clear lake, and the grandeur of the mighty mountain backdrop. While we
are here we will visit the world-famous “Church of the Good Shepherd” where it awaits
for you to take those all-important Social Media worthy photos plus videos,
your friends back home will be wishing they were there with you. We depart this
jewel in the Mackenzie Country, to our next stop the pristine perfect Lake
Pukaki.

Lake Pukaki - After all the photos are taken, we turn west and see Lake
Pukaki showing us it’s beauty before us. We stop for some more photos and to
simply be still and take in this spectacular scenery, you will be able to
understand why Lord of the Rings scenes were filmed nearby, and our drivers
will be happy to point those spots out to you. Time to head to Mt Cook – this
is the mountain prepared Sir Edmund Hillary
for his conquest of Everest, and is the tallest mountain in New Zealand

Mt Cook – We will take in the beauty that is Aoraki/Mount Cook. Weather
dependant we will be able to get some amazing photos and videos of the mountain
itself. At 3724m, Aoraki/Mt Cook is New Zealand’s highest peak, however, the
mountain can be viewed without any acclimatisation whatsoever from the village
which is just 750m above sea level. We leave this majestic mountain to make our
way to the adventure capital of New Zealand – Queenstown. This part of the
journey is simply a showstopper, like driving in a postcard - you will see
stunning scenery surrounded by mountains, forming the perfect backdrop! There
will be plenty of stops along the way including where they filmed the epic
battle scene in Return of the King in the Mackenzie Country, and the stunning
Kawarau Gorge.

DAY 2

Mt Cook - Enjoy more of what Mt Cook has to offer before hoping on the van to take you down to Queenstown departing at 2:30pm

Kawarau Suspension Bridge – As we are head towards
Queenstown, we travel through the beautiful Kawarau Gorge with stunning views,
plus we see the Kawarau Suspension Bridge – the bridge that pushed design
limits in the 1880’s and is the world birthplace of bungy and we see the famous
Roaring Meg Lookout – “Roaring Meg” is a turbulent stream that drives a
hydro-electric power station and merges with the Kawarau River.

Queenstown – We arrive in the city who knows how to take adventure to
the next level, and there is always a sense of fun.

DAY 3

Queenstown - Today we head down to the magnificent Milford Sounds, famously
described by Rudyard Kipling as the 'eighth wonder of the world’ this trip will
leave you speechless and full of wonder. The journey down there is one of the
most scenic experiences you can have on four wheels, and there will be stops
along the way to experience the majesty of it all, this trip is breathtakingly
beautiful in any weather.

Milford Sound – We arrive at this natural beauty, and set sail on the
inky dark waters to see the plunging cliffs and thundering waterfalls, in the
rain these waterfalls can multiply with massive effect . This will be a day
where you get to see the wild side of New Zealand at its best.

Queenstown – Queenstown - Being a hub of adventure, there is something for
everyone here from bungy jumping, to boutique shopping and so much more, also
our friendly guide will be happy share their favourite things. Why not take an
iconic Queenstown experience and take the Queenstown Gondola which goes up 45
metres to Bob’s Peak, once at the top enjoy panoramic views of the aptly named
